THE MAVERICK’S “OUTLAW” 911
Congrats to Ed Mayo and his 1967 Porsche 911S for their feature story in next month’s Excellence. This Texan maverick has been known for building some of the best hot rod 911s east of California since 1978.
In today’s social media, image is everything. Yet long ago there were the first of the early 911 hot rod innovators who didn’t care what people thought of them. Modest Mayo will reluctantly tell you he just happens to be among that gruppe. But, of course, there’s more to it than that. See my article for the untold story.
