1953 First Color Photo Essay – LIFE
1962 First Color Photography Exhibition – MOMA

“As part of this week long tribute to Ernst Haas on the 30th anniversary of his death (September 12, 1986), I share my remembrance on AI-AP/Pro Photo Daily,” says my dear friend and colleague Arthur Meyerson. Eric Meola, another colleague, noted yesterday, “Haas was to color photography what Robert Frank was to black and white — a revolutionary.” Meola also called Haas “perhaps the greatest photographer to have lived in modern times.”
