SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO PUT YOUR FOOT DOWN

I’m known as a good guy who will do almost anything for his friends and clients. The operative word here is “almost.”

Every once in a while I am pushed into a corner that requires me to stand up for myself. This usually happens after repeated offenses severely test my patience. Then I am forced to show how really tough I can be.

Today was one of those days, and I absolutely dread these days. I rely on others to do the right thing. Obviously, that’s not possible to do at all times. However, when a repetitive pattern develops that threatens my business and the standards I live by, I will put things right for myself and say “Next.”

P.S. A Farewell to Arms by Hemingway was published 90 years ago this day.

Will my photo below ever be published – when the car owner gives the story to another magazine after it was promised and photographed by me? It’s sloppy messes like this that give automotive journalism and photography a bad name.
