SEPTEMBER – THE BEST MONTH TO TRAVEL?

Now that the kids are back in school and the heat wave has receded, it’s time to consider some U.S. locales that will still give you blue skies, reasonable hotel rates and just a few tourists:

New York – Broadway hits, art museums, great restaurants
Maine – Fall colors, lobster dinners, friendly people
Kansas – Home of the Blues at the Crossroads concert series
Wyoming – More fall color, and great wildlife viewing at Yellowstone
Vancouver, B.C. – Great shopping, home of the International Film Festival on the 28th
Alaska – Sport fishing and sightseeing, bald eagles and brown bears!
CA – my favorite..
