A Photo Book by Randy Wells<\/p>\n

Randy Wells was so inspired by John Steinbeck\u2019s 1962 book, Travels With Charley: In Search of America<\/em>, that he felt compelled to document his own journey on analog film while traveling across America at the end of the 20th century.<\/p>\n

Over a seven year period, from 1992-1999, before cell phones, digital cameras, drones or GPS, he drove a VW van along Steinbeck\u2019s route using maps to photograph the entire project on Fujichrome transparency slide film. The resulting book with over a hundred un-manipulated analog images, combined with Randy\u2019s text, express his interpretation of Travels With Charley<\/em> and the USA before 9\/11.<\/p>\n
