Intention is everything. When fully met, it involves your whole purpose and being. It requires passion, reasonable thinking, and a commitment to follow through. <\/p>\n

When times get tough, I try to remember that no matter what happens, intention will see you through every time. Be confident, look outside the box, leave the herd behind, move forward, and ride. Godspeed.<\/p>\n

Here is Cris in 2002 at the German Autofest with his 1969 Porsche early 911S passing out his R Gruppe newsletter. <\/p>\n

I remember first meeting Cris in 2000 at the inaugural North Meets South R Gruppe event, now called Treffen. I didn’t have my car there, but he asked me to join anyway. The rest is history, mostly Cris’s. I saw him every year after that and worked closely with him and Roger Grago during the formative years. <\/p>\n

What struck me most about Cris is that he always wanted what was best for the club. It didn’t matter if you might be right in your opinion. If it wasn’t best for the entire club, he wouldn’t go along with it. He was mellow but he was stubborn – in a good way. He worked hard to keep his ego out of the decisions he needed to make. That’s hard to do.<\/p>\n

He really loved the club. It was his life. He will forever be recognized as the one who’s passion for sports purpose early 911s first caught the eye of Freeman Thomas, who joined with him to start a club we now call home.<\/p>\n
