Literally. <\/p>\n<p>Guess I&#8217;m going to have to keep this blog from becoming an obituary column&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Jeff Beck, one of the greatest guitarists ever, of The Yardbirds, etc., passed away last week from a case of acute bacterial meningitis. He was otherwise in great shape at 78. <\/p>\n<p>David Crosby of the Byrds and CSNY fame passed away today after a long illness at the age of 81.  <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Beck was often ranked one of the top five greatest guitarists. See his albums <em>Truth <\/em>and <em>Blow by Blow<\/em> for proof of his artistry on the Stratocaster.   <\/p>\n<p>Crosby was a gifted singer songwriter who&#8217;s duets with Graham Nash of the stuff of legend. See the albums <em>CSN <\/em>and <em>Deja Vu<\/em> for more.
