It was fun to write about and photograph this rubber bumpered \u00e2\u20ac\u0153mid-year\u00e2\u20ac\u009d 911. (Yes, it&#8217;s Olive colored in the original photos). <\/p>\n<p>Despite long held beliefs to the contrary, the 1974 Carrera can almost be seen as a separate model. It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a unique transition between the \u00e2\u20ac\u02dc73 and \u00e2\u20ac\u02dc75 types and is no longer underappreciated. Today it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s considered not only desirable to own but also a lot of fun to drive. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>P.S. Readers love to correct me. &#8220;Friends&#8221; too. When I titled this <em>Panorama<\/em> feature &#8220;Rubber Soul&#8221; and referenced the song &#8220;Drive My Car&#8221; from that album, someone decided I had made a mistake and that this song was actually on The Beatles <em>Revolver<\/em> album (the US version) instead. I knew it was on the UK (and currently available worldwide) version of <em>Rubber Soul<\/em>, since I wrote an <a href=\"https:\/\/randywells.com\/blog\/?p=56\">article<\/a> on the subject. Come to find out later &#8220;Drive My Car&#8221; was never on the US <em>Revolver<\/em>, but it was on the US <em>Yesterday and Today<\/em> album.
