PEPPER<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Disenchanted with touring, The Beatles retreated to Abbey Road Studios fifty years ago and began recording their most iconic album ever, <em>Sgt. Pepper&#8217;s Lonely Hearts Club Band<\/em>. By the time it was released in June &#8217;67, they had made several giant leaps forward in the art of building an LP, cover and all. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>As always, George Martin helped John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr to lay down the tracks and introduce unusual instrumentation.
