BE A PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER!

Quit your day job!

Follow your bliss!

Love what you do, and you will never work a day in your life!

Not if you are essentially working for free you won’t…

What day is it again?

When Henri Cartier-Bresson said, “Your first ten thousand photos are your worst.” He was talking about shooting with a manual advance film camera. Today, a self-proclaimed “master” of automotive photography takes that many frames in a single day! Another one quotes, “It takes 10,000 times of doing something to master it – then thinks, “After four years of regular shooting I’m there!” April fools.

Then there is the 10,000 hours rule. If you devote 3 hours per day to your avocation, it would be approximately 3333 consecutive days or a little over 9 years.

One thing everyone eventually discovers in photography (if you stick with it long enough) is that the more you learn, the more you realize how much there is that you don’t know. Especially if you try and copy every cool pic you see on IG. And even if you don’t, you will never master photography. That’s the fascinating part about it.
