MORE EXCELLENCE

The latest issue of Excellence (September 2011) includes a feature written by Peter Linsky and illustrated with my images. The subject – Paul Risinger’s incredible concours winning Sand Beige 1967 Porsche 911S. I had the distinct privilege of driving this perfect car and commenting on my experience in a side bar to the article. Here’s an excerpt:

“Only four people have driven this car more than a few feet. It’s been ten years since someone who wasn’t named Risinger drove this internationally recognized 1967 911S, a car that has more concours awards than I have socks. This should make me feel real special. It doesn’t. Getting behind the wheel, I’m terrified, absolutely terrified. When I glance at the passenger for reassurance, Paul’s deadpan expression breaks into an affable grin. “Forgettaboutit,” he says. I do as instructed and stand on the accelerator. I’m immediately reminded that despite all its trophies, this is still a 2.0L 911S.”

Thanks, Paul, for the great ride!
