TELL YOUR STORY
I feel vey fortunate to have grown up in an isolated fishing village in Alaska.
Everything was possible. My imagination was set free. Telling my story took a bit longer. Continue reading “”
RAIN AT LAST
Washington state has finally received some rain today. More is forecast for tomorrow. I’m hoping all my friends in California and Oregon are receiving some relief as well. Continue reading “”

KEEP ON KEEPING ON – WITH A FERRARI MODENA 360
Even though it’s been surpassed by more powerful models, I still admire the Ferrari Modena 360 coupe of 1999-2004. What a perfect shape. Continue reading “”
THIS IS THE MEMORIAL DAY I’M TRYING TO FORGET
On May 22, National Road Trip Day, I decided to drive around the neighborhood, picking up some groceries and the mail. I also added a hundred new road trip images to the website, once i got home – while praying for better days ahead.
Hopefully, this pandemic is peaking and will begin to pass. Still, it has made existing problems all the more apparent. TAKE CARE OF EACH OTHER
Jackson Browne sang it best on “The Only Child”, but “Living in Another World”, a song by the British band Talk Talk, is just as good. It was recorded for their sophomore album The Colour of Spring in March of 1986.

SOCIAL DISTANCING
Long-time travelers will recognize this photo as a late ’80s Alaska Airlines commercial coach seat.
During all my miles as a travel photographer, I only saw this view once. Red sunset and red hair.
The last thing I ever wanted to see is what we are all going through now. Continue reading “”
ON THE BEACH
So what’s the best Neil Young album?
For me, it has to be 1974’s On The Beach.
It encapsulates the NY ethos most succinctly, without calling attention to itself, plus it’s remained topical for decades. Continue reading “”
ANDY IRONS
I’ve just seen what has to be one of the best documentaries ever made, especially when it comes to extreme sports and lifestyle. It’s the 2018 film Andy Irons: Kissed by God. Continue reading “”
CRIS HUERGAS
Intention is everything. When fully met, it involves your whole purpose and being. It requires passion, reasonable thinking, and a commitment to follow through.
When times get tough, I try to remember that no matter what happens, intention will see you through every time. Be confident, look outside the box, leave the herd behind, move forward, and ride. Godspeed.
